Summary:
On 10/29/06 at about 10:56 a.m. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Deputy Abby Dorsey was dispatched to a report of domestic disturbance at the Riverside Trailer Park, in Waldport, Oregon. Deputy Dorsey received a report that Merica Mae Williams, age 27 of Waldport, attempted to stab her live-in boyfriend and caused him minor injury during the argument. The victim reported that Williams broke the phone while he was attempting to call 911. The couple's 10 month-old child was present during the altercation making the assault charge a felony.
Deputy Dorsey then contacted Williams at a neighboring residence. Williams was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where she was lodged for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; Menacing; Harassment; Assault IV, and Interfering with Making a Report. Williams is being held on a total bail amount of $70,000.00.
