Summary:

On October 7th, 2006, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Colin Teem observed a vehicle traveling east on Bay Blvd in Newport at a high rate of speed. Deputy Teem conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Sally Ann Maestas, 54 years of age of Clackamas, OR.

Maestas displayed signs of impairment and had an odor of alcohol coming from her person. Sgt. Teem with the Newport Police Department arrived at the traffic stop and assisted Deputy Teem while he conducted a DUII investigation.

Maestas was taken into custody for DUII and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Maestas produced a breath sample of .15% Blood Alcohol Concentration. Maestas was lodged with a bail of $7,500.
