Summary:
On October 8th, 2006, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport on a report of an assault. Deputies Colin Teem and Eric Gulbranson contacted a 22 year old adult female at SPCH whom was receiving treatment for injuries stemming from an assault that had occurred in Tidewater, OR.
Deputy Teem learned from the female that she was struck by her boyfriend with blunt objects and held against her will at a residence in Tidewater, OR early in the afternoon. Later in the evening the female was assaulted and held against her will while in a motor vehicle on Highway 34. Deputy Rick Ballentine located the female near milepost 8.5 walking alongside the roadway. Deputy Ballentine assisted the female and drove her to Central Coast Fire and Rescue where she was transported by ambulance to SPCH.
On October 9th, 2006, sheriff's deputies located Jason R. Perry 27 years of age on Boundary Road in Tidewater, OR. Perry was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on charges of Domestic Assault II, Domestic Assault IV, Strangulation, Kidnapping I, Coercion, Menacing and Unlawful use of a weapon. His bail was set at $150,000 bail.
