Summary:

On October 9, 2006, at 11:15 AM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy David Boys was patrolling in the Otis area and observed a male subject standing in front of a residnece at 5763 Salmon River Highway, Otis, Oregon. Deputy Boys contacted the subject, identified as 22 year old Joshua E. Brown of Otis, and determined Brown had a no bail, felony warrant for Probation violation. Deputy Boys took Brown into custody.

Deputy Boys contacted a second subject at the residence, 57 year old Lawrence Hergert, and determine he, too, had warrants for his arrest for Fail to appear. Hergert was taken into custody as well.

A third subject, 21 year old Chantell K. Harris, was contacted by Deputy Boys and found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. Additionally, Harris had a two year old child staying with her. Harris was subsequently arrested for Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine, Endangering the welfare of a minor and Hindering prosecution. Case workers with the Department of Human Services were called to assist with the child at the residence.

All three subjects were transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Hergert's bail was set at $100,000 and Harris' bail was set at $57,500.
