Incident:	Injured Man found in Yachats Motel *UPDATE*
Date Occurred:	September 28, 2006
Time Occurred:	Approximately 11:25 AM
Location:	Yatel Motel, 640 Hwy 101 N., Yachats, Oregon

Summary:

On 09/28/06 at about 11:25 a.m. Derek Taylor age 57 of Yachats was found in the Yatel Motel with an apparent head injury. Mr. Taylor was transported to Samaritan Communities Hospital in Newport for evaluation. Due to the severity of Taylor’s injury, he was transported by Lifeflight to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. At the time of the initial report it was unknown if Taylor was a victim of an assault since he was unable to communicate.

On 10/05/06 Deputy Abby Dorsey contacted Mr. Taylor for follow-up and after speaking with him determined Taylor’s injuries were the result of a medical problem which caused him to fall in the motel room.
