Incident: Home Invasion Robbery
Date Occurred: October 2, 2006
Time Occurred: Approximately 2:45 PM
Location: Carmel Way, Newport, Oregon

Summary:

At about 2:54 PM, 10-01-06 a resident living on NE Carmel Way reported that a white male in his mid 30s knocked on her door and then pointed a pistol at her and pushed his way in when she answered. The male was reported to be about 5ft 7in tall, medium build with dark hair and a couple of days of beard growth. The man pulled a camouflage mask over his face after he forced his way into the house. The suspect demanded money and drugs and forced the resident, and a visiting friend, to stand in the bathroom while he ransacked the bedroom and their personal belongings. During the robbery, another friend of the resident arrived and was also detained by the gunman and forced to stand in the bathroom. The suspect left the scene and got into a small sized, newer white Ford pick-up being driven by a white female reported to about 25 years old with light colored hair. The victims reported that the suspect stole their cell phones, a wallet and a set of car keys. The investigation of the incident continues.

Anyone with information relating to this incident is encouraged to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 265-4277.
