Summary:
While investigating a disturbance on NW Lanai Loop in South Beach Deputy Colin Teem and Deputy Barry Bruster made contact with a group of intoxicated minors at 943 NW Lanai Loop. Deputy Bruster requested assistance from the Enforcement of Underage Drinking Laws volunteers. Volunteers responded to the location and assisted deputies. Deputy Bruster stated that the use of the EUDL volunteers was a huge success. The deputies determined that 12 out of 14 minors had been consuming alcohol. The minors were cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Collen Sly, age 18 of South Beach, was taken into custody for furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol. Sly was cited and released at the location.
