Summary:
On July 18, 2006 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a driving complaint on U.S. Hwy 101 near mile post 164. Road construction workers reported a green Ford Bronco nearly ran over a flagger and drove over several traffic cones while traveling northbound. Deputy Cameron located the vehicle near mile post 158 and conducted a traffic stop on it. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Randy P. Miles, age 44 of Eugene, Oregon had a suspended driver's license.
Deputy Cummings detected signs of impairment and conducted a DUII investigation. Mr. Miles was arrested for DUII, Driving While Suspended (Misdeamaeanor), Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering x 2, and Recklessly Endangering a Hwy Worker. Mr. Miles was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused to provide a breath sample. Mr. Miles was lodged in the jail with a $45,000 bail.
