Summary:
On June 25, 2006 at about 3:00 P.M. Deputy McGuire along with a Toledo Police Officer were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash on Arcadia Drive near the entrance to Arcadia school in Toledo. The driver, 50-year-old Leta Weldon of Toledo and her 50-Year-old passenger, Daniel Lowery also of Toledo, were trapped in the overturned vehicle. The vehicle Weldon was driving, a Dodge Caravan, struck a power pole and sheared it off in the crash, leaving a live power line touching the vehicle. Central Lincoln PUD cut power to the line and Toledo Fire along with Pacific West ambulance extricated the two occupants. Both Weldon and Lowery were transported to PCH where they were treated for their minor injuries and released. Deputy McGuire arrested Weldon for DUII and Reckless Driving. Weldon’s blood alcohol level was .36 percent several hours after the crash. Weldon was also cited for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.
