Lincoln County Jail |
Summary:
During a routine check of an inmate, the on-duty Deputy noticed David Sigler, age 36 of Newport sitting on the floor of the shower area bleeding from his wrist. Medical assistance was summoned. Mr. Sigler then took the razor blade and placed it on his throat and advised staff not to approach. He then advised that he would cut his throat because he wanted to die.
Mr. Sigler refused to comply with the deputies requests to drop the razor so a TASER was deployed. Following deployment, Mr. Sigler complied with the deputies.
Mr. Sigler was stabilized and transported to SPCH for additional treatment and returned to the Lincoln County Jail several hours later.
